Our Community, Our Resource
The Placer County Network of Care is a free collaborative, community based resource. On the site, you will be able to find with vital health information, post community events, and connect over health and wellness service providers in Placer County. Using the Placer County Network of Care is the first step in making sure we all have access to improved wellness.
- Service Directory: Find and connect with over 600 service providers in Placer County. From volunteer opportunities to child care to Senior Services to Veterans Resources, the Service Directory will start your search for resources on the right foot.
- Library: provides access to over 30,000 articles on wellness, illness, and medications. You can also find over 50 interactive tools in the library.
- Events: Publicize ongoing and upcoming events and workshops, find events where your organization can build collaborative partnerships, or find something fun to do this weekend on the Placer County Network of Care Community Calendar. If you would like to add an event, visit the Community Calendar and click “Add an Event” to begin! We welcome and encourage community partners to publicize their public events!
- Legislate: Contains a bill tracking section to follow state and federal legislation, receive e-mail alerts and communicate directly with lawmakers before they vote.
- Newsletters: Read about what is happening locally.
This all sounds great, I would like to make my organization part of the Placer County Network of Care! How can I add my organization to the service directory?
Adding a listing to the Placer County Network of Care is a simple process. Simply log onto http://placer.networkofcare.org/mh/index.aspx and click on “Services” at the top of the page, and then select “Add or Correct Info.” We ask that you provide as much information as possible, including an email address where we may contact you regarding your listing, any appropriate fees for service, and acceptable forms of payment (including health insurance). I looked over my organizations entry, and noticed some information needs to be updated. I also want to add some more information to our listing. How do I make changes to a service directory entry?
On your listing’s page, near the top, there is an option to “edit this listing.” Click that button and you may make changes. (As was said above, we ask that as much information as possible is provided in the listings!) After you have made the appropriate changes, enter your contact email, and hit submit! To make sure there are no malicious edits to entries (and there haven’t been any yet) your information will be thoroughly reviewed by the Placer County Network of Care team before being posted.
